Application Process
Please download and complete the above application form and then submit $100 to be on our waiting list or to complete the enrollment process if instructed by the Director. The Montessori Children’s Center has been offering the highest quality childcare and education services appropriate to the needs of the communities we serve since 1991. Our program is designed to invite the child to learn with a full heart, mind, and spirit in a peaceful, calm environment that supports independence, internal motivation, the development of concentration, and a love of learning.
We have remained open during the pandemic and have been proud to serve the children and families during this time.
Our location at 220 Westchester Avenue has two infant rooms (8 children each), three toddler rooms (12 children each), and two early childhood rooms (19/21 children each).
All our head teachers are Montessori trained and certified or in the process of their Montessori training.
The Montessori Children’s Center offers rolling admission. In January, we offer spaces to our current families for the following program year (September – August). Then, we offer any available spaces to new families on a first-come, first-served basis. Families with a child in attendance or with a child who previously completed our full program get priority.
If we are full in the age group you are seeking, you may submit an application and return it with the $100 application fee in order to be placed on the waiting list, and we will notify you if spots become available.
Our hours are 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, and tuition covers a 9-hour day. We do not offer any early care or late care.
Please call 914-607-7600 or email our director at ktkorngold@cmteny.com to schedule a tour. We only offer tours if we have spaces available.
If you are interested in enrolling and we have a space for your child, we will provide you with a contract, which must be signed and returned with the required enrollment fees to secure your child’s space.
We require you to schedule a tour to see our facility and meet our director prior to enrollment.
All Forms, including MEDICAL STATEMENT, must be on file before the child’s first day.
