Application & Enrollment Process

We are delighted you are considering Montessori Children’s Center for your child's early education. Since 1991, we have been committed to offering the highest quality child care and Montessori education to our community. Our program is designed to foster independence, agency, concentration, and a lifelong love of learning in a peaceful, supportive environment.

Key Enrollment Criteria

Please note these essential details before beginning your application:

Full-Time Only

We exclusively offer a full-time program. We do not offer any part-time, early care, or late care options.

Hours of Operation

Our standard hours are 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with tuition covering a 9-hour day.

COVID-19 Policy

For the safety of our community, parents and children over the age of 6 months must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Start the Process

We are delighted you are considering Montessori Children’s Center for your child's early education. 

Schedule a tour first, then submit your application.

  • Complete the Application: Either complete the application directly or download the application form on the link provided below.

  • Change to Application Fee: Submit the $100 application fee with your completed application. This fee is required to be placed on the MCC waiting list or along with other enrollment fees and documents if offered a space.

 

Schedule a Tour

We require all prospective families to tour our facility and meet our director prior to enrollment.

Tour Availability: We only offer tours if we currently have spaces available in the age group you are seeking.

Securing Enrollment

  • Contract: If you are interested in enrolling and we have a space for your child, we will provide you with an enrollment contract.
  • Finalize: The contract must be signed and returned along with the required enrollment fees to secure your child’s space.
  • Final Forms: All required forms, including the medical statement, must be on file before your child's first day of attendance.

Rolling Admissions & Waitlist Policy

Montessori Children’s Center offers rolling admission throughout the year.

  • Annual Placement: In February/March, we first offer spaces for the upcoming program year (September–August) to our current families.
  • New Families: Any remaining spaces are then offered to new families on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Priority Placement: Families who currently have a child attending or who previously completed our full program receive priority placement.
  • Waiting List: If the age group you are seeking is full, submit a completed application and pay the $100 application fee to be placed on the waiting list. We will notify you if a spot becomes available.

Enrolled Infants transition into Toddlers around 18 months. Depending on age, readiness, time of year, and space availability in Early Childhood, enrolled Toddlers transition from Toddlers to Early Childhood within approximately 3 months of their third birthday.

All parents (and anyone picking up/dropping enrolled children) must be vaccinated against COVID-19 with proof of vaccination supplied to the Director. Please submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination of both parents along with this application.
MCC hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. As children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m., parents must enter before 5:30 p.m. to ensure all children are picked up on time. The contracted tuition fee is for 9 hours per day. If you require longer than 9 hours of care, it must be within the hours of operation. There is an additional charge for either 15 minutes or 30 minutes, arranged in advance and billed and paid with the monthly invoice. Late pick up after 5:30 p.m. will be billed additionally.

Please submit payment of the $100.00 non-refundable Application Fee per child online at https://montessorichildrensctr.com/online-payment/. Applications will not be processed without receipt of the $100.00 non-refundable application fee. Submission of application does not constitute acceptance into the program. Parents who are offered a space and decline will be able to remain on the waiting list for one program year only. Parents must submit a new application and fee to remain on the waiting list for a second year. Application fees are per child and are non-transferable.

Our Facility at a Glance

Our location at 220 Westchester Avenue is designed to support the distinct stages of early development:

Infant Rooms

Two rooms, each accommodating 8 children.

Toddler Rooms

Three rooms, each accommodating 12 children.

Early Childhood Rooms

Two rooms, accommodating 18 and 21 children, respectively.

All of our head teachers are Montessori trained and certified or currently in the process of their Montessori training, ensuring expert, experienced Montessori guidance for your child.
