Ms. Kyra

Head Teacher EC Mountain

Joined Montessori Children’s Center in August 2019

Ms. Kyra has been a beloved member of the MCC community for over 7 years, bringing a deep, spiritual understanding of Montessori philosophy, pedagogy, and methodology to her practice with preschool children. Before joining MCC, Ms. Kyra began her Montessori journey as a toddler teacher in Maryland. During this experience, Ms. Kyra completed her Montessori training and earned an AMS Early Childhood Credential, becoming an EC head guide before moving to New York and joining MCC.

A talented artist, Ms. Kyra shares her art and creativity with the Early Childhood children in both Meadow and Mountain rooms, designing projects that highlight the beauty of the seasons and support a process of artistic expression that uplifts the unique visual creations of each child in the EC Mountain and EC Meadow rooms.

With her joy of learning and calm, patient demeanor, Ms. Kyra inspires the Early Childhood children to strive and flourish during their two or three years in the EC program as they grow and develop their skills, sense of connection, and awareness of themselves as leaders within their community of learners.
